Softening what detracts, protecting what makes you, you.
There is an art to treating fine lines and wrinkles well, and at Plump it begins with a belief that you should always look like yourself. Our approach is never to freeze the face or erase every trace of movement. A face without expression is not a younger face, it is simply a stiller one, and it rarely looks natural. Nurse Caitlin is highly experienced in treating with a light, considered hand, so that your warmth, your personality and your ability to express emotion are all maintained. The goal is for you to look rested, refreshed and like yourself on a good day, not treated.
One of the ideas at the centre of Nurse Caitlin's philosophy is that not every line needs treating. Many lines are simply part of a face that has lived, laughed and expressed, and they can be part of what makes you beautiful and recognisably you. The focus is never on chasing perfection or removing every line. Instead, Nurse Caitlin looks carefully at which lines genuinely detract, the ones that can read as tired, tense or heavier than how you feel, and prioritises those while protecting the character that belongs to you. It is a subtractive philosophy in the best sense: soften what pulls the face down, and let your natural beauty lead.
A single line is never treated in isolation, because the face works as one connected, balanced whole. Treating one area without considering the rest can quietly unbalance a face and is often what makes results look unnatural. This is why Nurse Caitlin assesses your features against the classic principles of facial proportion and harmony, including the facial thirds and the facial fifths.
The facial thirds divide the face horizontally into three parts: from the hairline to the brows, from the brows to the base of the nose, and from the base of the nose to the bottom of the chin. In a balanced, harmonious face these three sections sit in pleasing proportion to one another. As we age, these proportions can shift and one third can begin to dominate or appear heavier, which affects how rested or how tired a face reads.
The facial fifths divide the face vertically into five equal parts, each about the width of one eye, running from one side of the face to the other. This helps assess symmetry and balance across the face, such as the spacing and proportion of the eyes and the width of features relative to one another.
Considering your thirds and fifths matters because true, natural-looking results come from harmony and balance, not from treating one line at a time. By understanding your unique proportions, Nurse Caitlin can ensure that softening one area supports the overall balance of your face rather than disrupting it, so the result is cohesive, flattering and unmistakably you.
Every treatment begins with a thorough consultation and assessment with Nurse Caitlin, to understand your concerns, your features and your goals, and to determine whether treatment is appropriate for you. Where clinically suitable, a treatment plan is designed and tailored specifically to your face and your proportions.
Some treatments for fine lines and wrinkles involve a prescription medicine. Australian law does not permit prescription medicines to be described or promoted in public information, so the specifics, including how a treatment works, the expected outcomes and the associated risks, can only be discussed with you privately during your consultation, and only after you have been assessed and it has been determined to be suitable. There is never any obligation to proceed.
Results from this kind of treatment develop over time rather than instantly, and a review may be recommended to assess how you have responded. Results vary from person to person and are never guaranteed. All relevant information, including suitability, alternatives, expected outcomes and potential risks and side effects, will be explained fully during your consultation so you can make an informed decision in your own time.
That is central to how Nurse Caitlin treats. Her approach is designed to soften what detracts while preserving your natural movement, warmth and expression, so you still look and feel like yourself. A frozen, expressionless result is not the aim.
No, and that is intentional. Not every line needs treating, and many are simply part of a face full of character. The focus is on the lines that genuinely detract or make you look more tired or tense than you feel, while protecting your natural beauty.
Because the face works as a connected whole. Assessing your proportions, including the facial thirds and fifths, allows Nurse Caitlin to keep your features balanced and harmonious, which is what makes results look natural rather than obvious.
Not in detail. Where a treatment involves a prescription medicine, we are not permitted to describe or promote it publicly. Everything can be explained fully, and all your questions answered, during a private consultation once you have been assessed.
Your consultation and any treatment are provided by Nurse Caitlin, our Registered Nurse and owner, in line with appropriate medical oversight and prescribing requirements.
As with any medical treatment, there are potential risks and side effects. These will be explained to you in full during your consultation so you can make an informed choice.
