Plump. Facial Volume & Youthfulness

Restoring the support that time has quietly taken, so you look rested rather than treated.

Medical Concern · Volume & Vitality

Ageing rarely announces itself in one place.

It happens gradually, in small losses of support beneath the skin, and the face slowly reads as flatter, heavier or more tired than it once did. Most people who come to Plump for this cannot point to a single thing they want changed. They simply say they look tired when they are not, or that they no longer quite recognise the face looking back at them.

We are here to ensure your plump, youthful and glowing features are maintained or restored. Plump is well-established in achieving natural-looking, subtle changes. Nurse Caitlin prides herself on assessing, developing and executing a personalised plan with meticulous attention to detail. Her understanding of the physiological changes of ageing informs every treatment, and her results are undetectable, in the very best way.

Restoring is not the same as adding

There is an important difference between restoring what has been lost and adding something that was never there, and it is the difference between looking rested and looking treated. Nurse Caitlin works only from your own anatomy: where your face carried support at rest, where that support has softened, and how much needs to return for you to look like yourself again.

Nothing is chased, and nothing is filled for the sake of filling. The measure of success is that nobody can tell. They only notice that you look well.

Where volume goes, and why it matters

Loss of facial support is rarely limited to the area you notice first. A softening in the upper face can cast a shadow that reads as tiredness around the eyes. A change in the mid face can allow the lower face to look heavier than it is. Because everything is connected, treating only the spot that bothers you can quietly unbalance the rest.

This is why Nurse Caitlin assesses your face against the classic principles of facial proportion and harmony, including the facial thirds and the facial fifths. Understanding your own proportions is what allows a small, well-placed restoration in one area to lift the balance of the whole face, rather than drawing attention to itself.

How we approach it

Every treatment begins with a thorough consultation and assessment with Nurse Caitlin, to understand your concerns, your features and your goals, and to determine whether treatment is appropriate for you. Where clinically suitable, a treatment plan is designed and tailored specifically to your face and your proportions.

We are firm believers in less is more. Volume is restored gradually, across more than one visit where appropriate, so that your face is given time to settle and you are given time to decide how far you would like to go. There is no version of this where everything happens at once.

Some treatments in this area involve a prescription medicine. Australian law does not permit prescription medicines to be described or promoted in public information, so the specifics, including how a treatment works, the expected outcomes and the associated risks, can only be discussed with you privately during your consultation, and only after you have been assessed and it has been determined to be suitable. There is never any obligation to proceed.

What to expect

Results in this area are built rather than delivered. A review may be recommended to assess how you have responded and whether anything further is appropriate. Results vary from person to person and are never guaranteed. All relevant information, including suitability, alternatives, expected outcomes and potential risks and side effects, will be explained fully during your consultation so you can make an informed decision in your own time.

Best suited for

  • Faces that read as tired, flat or heavier than they once did, without one obvious cause
  • Those who want to look rested and like themselves, not visibly treated
  • Anyone who prefers a gradual, staged plan over a single dramatic change
  • A harmonised, whole-face approach guided by facial proportion and balance
  • Adults seeking a medically-guided, individually-assessed treatment plan

Frequently asked questions

Will this change what I look like?

That is not the aim. The goal is to restore support your face used to have, so you look like a rested version of yourself. If a plan would meaningfully change your features rather than restore them, Nurse Caitlin will tell you.

I cannot point to one thing I want fixed. Is that a problem?

Not at all, and it is very common. Most people describe a feeling rather than a feature. Part of the consultation is working out together which changes are actually driving that feeling.

How gradual is gradual?

Where appropriate, a plan is built across more than one visit with time in between to assess. You are never committed to the whole plan, and you can stop at any point.

Why do you assess my whole face and not just the area that bothers me?

Because the face works as a connected whole. Assessing your proportions, including the facial thirds and fifths, allows Nurse Caitlin to keep your features balanced and harmonious, which is what makes results look natural rather than obvious.

Can you tell me exactly what the treatment is on this page?

Not in detail. Where a treatment involves a prescription medicine, we are not permitted to describe or promote it publicly. Everything can be explained fully, and all your questions answered, during a private consultation once you have been assessed.

Are there risks?

As with any medical treatment, there are potential risks and side effects. These will be explained to you in full during your consultation so you can make an informed choice.
