Support your body's natural detox and drainage pathways.
It is a gentle, light-pressure massage that follows the body’s lymphatic pathways. The rhythm is slow and repetitive rather than deep or forceful. At Plump it is carried out by Alida, our Naturopath, who assesses you first and tailors the session to you.
No. It is one of the lightest treatments we offer. The pressure is deliberately gentle and most people find it deeply relaxing. If anything ever feels uncomfortable, tell Alida during the session and she will adjust.
Yes. Lymphatic drainage is safe during pregnancy. Let us know when you book that you are pregnant and how far along you are, so Alida can position you comfortably and adjust the session for you.
There is no set schedule and we will not put you on one. It depends on what you are coming in for and how your body responds.
As a general rhythm, many people begin with a short course of sessions spaced close together to build momentum, then move to something more spaced out to maintain it. Others prefer to come as they need to: around travel, before an event, or simply when they want the reset.
People often ask how long it lasts. Lymphatic drainage is cumulative rather than a one-off fix, so a single session can feel wonderful on the day, while a consistent run is where most people tend to notice the most. If you are only after a reset before a particular occasion, one session is still absolutely worth booking on its own.
Alida will talk all of this through at your first session and map out a rhythm that suits you, rather than selling you a package you do not need.
Keep it simple. Drink plenty of water, move gently, and go easy on heavy training, alcohol and big meals for the rest of the day. There is no downtime, so you can head straight back into your day.
It is a wellness therapy, not a medical treatment, and we will never promise you a specific result. What we can tell you is what the session itself is like: light, rhythmic and deeply relaxing, with a plan built around you rather than a one-size-fits-all package.
