Rejuvenate Tired/aged Skin

Skin texture, hydration, look and feel all change over time, and we have the answers to address and prevent this. With regenerative medicines we can target the signs and causes of these changes within the skin's cellular function and structure.

These treatments do not necessarily alter your features or overall appearance. They work at a cellular level, stimulating collagen and activating the skin from within. It is a lot of science, and we will walk you through it in person.

Treating the cause, not the surface

Most of what reads as tired skin is structural rather than superficial. Collagen production slows, the barrier becomes less resilient, hydration is held less well, and light no longer reflects off the surface the way it once did. Topical products support skin beautifully, and we will always recommend the right ones for you, but they work largely at the surface.

Regenerative treatment takes a different route. Rather than sitting on the skin, it prompts your own skin to behave more like it used to, rebuilding structure from within. This is why results build over weeks and months rather than appearing overnight, and why they tend to hold.

Collagen-positive ageing

We talk about collagen-positive ageing at Plump because it reframes what treatment is for. The aim is not to reverse your age. It is to keep your skin producing, supporting and repairing itself for as long as possible, so that ageing happens from a stronger baseline. Started early it is preventative, started later it is restorative, and either way it is cumulative.

How we approach it

Every treatment begins with a thorough consultation and comprehensive skin assessment, to understand your concerns, your skin and your goals, and to determine whether treatment is appropriate for you. Where clinically suitable, a plan is designed and tailored specifically to your skin.

Some treatments in this area involve a prescription medicine. Australian law does not permit prescription medicines to be described or promoted in public information, so the specifics, including how a treatment works, the expected outcomes and the associated risks, can only be discussed with you privately during your consultation, and only after you have been assessed and it has been determined to be suitable. There is never any obligation to proceed.

What to expect

These treatments work gradually, at a cellular level, so results develop over weeks and months rather than immediately. A course is often recommended, with reviews along the way to assess how your skin is responding. Results vary from person to person and are never guaranteed. All relevant information, including suitability, alternatives, expected outcomes and potential risks and side effects, will be explained fully during your consultation.

Best suited for

  • Skin that reads as dull, tired, dehydrated or lacking its former glow
  • Changes in texture, firmness or overall skin quality rather than in facial features
  • Those who want to support collagen and skin health preventatively
  • Anyone who prefers treating the cause within the skin rather than covering the surface
  • Adults seeking a medically-guided, individually-assessed treatment plan

Frequently asked questions

Will this change how I look?
Not in the way volume or contouring treatments do. This works on the quality and health of the skin itself, so what changes is texture, firmness and glow rather than your features.

How long until I see something?
Because these treatments prompt your own skin to rebuild, results develop over weeks and months. That gradual build is the point, and it is also why results tend to hold.

Can I have this as well as my facials and peels?
Usually yes, and they complement each other well. Your comprehensive skin assessment will determine the right combination and the right order for your skin and its tolerance.

Is it worth starting if my skin is still in good condition?
Often, yes. Supporting collagen before significant loss occurs is preventative rather than corrective, and it means ageing happens from a stronger baseline.

Can you tell me exactly what the treatment is on this page?
Not in detail. Where a treatment involves a prescription medicine, we are not permitted to describe or promote it publicly. Everything can be explained fully during a private consultation once you have been assessed.

Are there risks?
As with any medical treatment, there are potential risks and side effects. These will be explained to you in full during your consultation so you can make an informed choice.
