It depends on the treatment. For cosmetic medicine (injectables and IPL),and skin treatments, a consultation is required before your first appointment – this allows our clinicians to assess your skin, discuss your concerns, and confirm the right approach for you.
In some cases, where booked we can incorporate a consultation and treatment into your initial booking.
For wellness treatments like infrared sauna, lymphatic drainage, and naturopathy, you're welcome to book directly.
With our Naturopathy services, we offer a complimentary clarity call to briefly discuss your concerns and how Alida supports your health and wellness.
We understand and do not expect anyone to know the full ins and outs about these things before you begin. This is why a consultation is best before deep diving into some of the treatments and procedures. We are here to support and guide you! If you are ever confused where to start, what to book, call or text us on 0478 844 048.
Start with a consultation. We offer complimentary consultations ($100 deposit redeemable for our extended Skin consultation), where we'll take the time to understand your concerns, your lifestyle, and what you're hoping to achieve — and point you in the right direction. There's no obligation to book a treatment on the day, but if you do wish to do so, we can sometimes pre-plan for consultation and treatment when booked this way.
Absolutely. Many of our clients come to us having never visited an aesthetic clinic before. Our team is used to guiding people through their options with no pressure and no jargon. A consultation is always a great first step, have a person to person conversation and learn about the possible treatments, solutions and strategies we can implement for you.
Our main clinic is at 525 Chapel Street, South Yarra, the home and hub of our full range of products, treatments and practitioners.
We also run bespoke cosmetic medicine appointments in Essendon and Bentleigh East - check our booking page for current availability across locations.
You can book directly through our online booking system, get in touch via email or call us on 0478 844 048 if you'd prefer to chat first.
It depends on the treatment. Some skin treatments involve minimal to no downtime, while others – such as certain chemical peels, skin needling or IPL – may result in some temporary redness, minor skin peeling, or temporary texture/ colour changes to the skin in the days following your appointment. Your clinician will walk you through what to expect before your treatment, and what to do now to look after your skin the best way post treatment.
Yes, many of our clients combine treatments as part of a broader skin plan. Your clinician can advise on the best sequencing and timing – some treatments work well together, while others are better spaced apart.
A chemical peel uses a carefully selected acid solution to encourage the skin to renew itself – it works in a targeted way to address your skin concerns at a superficial or at a deeper level than a standard facial. Chemical peels sound scary, are mostly painless and are designed to address specific skin concerns like pigmentation, congestion, fine lines, or uneven texture. Our dermal clinicians will assess your skin and recommend the appropriate peel type and strength for you.
Certain peels require “preparation”, meaning you need to be using a medical-grade skin care actives to ensure your skin is protected, actively cellular functioning to minimise the downtime and enhance the outcomes of a specific chemical peel type.
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. Unlike a single-wavelength laser, IPL uses a broad spectrum of light, which allows it to address multiple concerns — pigmentation, redness, uneven tone — in one session. It's a non-invasive treatment performed by our dermal clinicians, and it's well suited to those looking to improve overall skin clarity and address sun damage or visible redness. A skin consultation is required before your first IPL session.
This varies depending on your skin type and the concerns you're addressing. Your dermal clinician will advise on a recommended treatment schedule at your consultation. Most clients see the best results across a course of sessions rather than a single appointment.

All cosmetic injectables at Plump are performed by our Registered Nurse (NMW0002014358), Caitlin. Caitlin is the clinic's Founder and Director, with extensive experience in cosmetic medicine.
Pricing for cosmetic medicine treatments isn't something we're able to publish online, and it's not because we're hiding anything.
Under Australian advertising guidelines set by AHPRA, clinics are not permitted to advertise set pricing for injectable treatments. Beyond the regulatory requirement, a flat price list genuinely wouldn't serve you well. Two people coming in with the same concern may need a completely different approach – different products, different volumes, different techniques. A price quoted before we've assessed you isn't an accurate one. Pricing is always discussed as part of your consultation, once we understand what's right for you and can give you a clear picture of what's involved before you commit to anything.
We're not able to provide treatment pricing over the phone or via DM. Cosmetic medicine is not one-size-fits-all – the right treatment, and what it involves, genuinely varies from person to person.
Pricing is discussed as part of your consultation, once we understand what's appropriate for you and can give you a clear, accurate picture of what's involved.
Before and after imagery for cosmetic medicine procedures is a restricted advertising format under Australian law. Even with a client's full consent, publishing these images in a promotional context – on a website, on Instagram, in emails – is not permitted under AHPRA's advertising guidelines. We know this can feel frustrating when you're trying to get a sense of what's possible.
The honest answer is that the best way to understand what we can achieve for your specific concerns is to come in and speak with us in a consultation. Our clinicians will give you a realistic, personalised picture of what treatment can do for you.
Yes. A consultation is required before any injectable treatment at Plump.Just like any other medical appointment or medicine being provided, we do need to take a health history and assess your anatomy, skin, health and medical history and establish a proper medical treatment plan. This allows us to understand your concerns, assess your facial anatomy, and discuss what's appropriate for you. We take a considered approach — our goal is always a natural, balanced result. We take care to look after your best interest and results in the short and long term.
That's exactly what the consultation is for. Rather than arriving with a specific treatment in mind, we encourage clients to come with their concerns and goals – and let us guide the conversation based on our years of experience, skill and knowledge. Our nurses will explain what's possible and what approach they'd recommend for you specifically. We will always educate and collaborate with you during the process to ensure you are adequately informed, understanding the risks, outcomes and side effects to make educated and informed decisions.
When performed by experienced, qualified practitioners, cosmetic injectables are a well-established area of cosmetic medicine. At Plump, all injectable treatments are performed by Registered Nurses with AHPRA registration. We take safety, anatomy, and clinical appropriateness seriously in every appointment.
Cosmetic injectables (such as anti-wrinkle and dermal filler) are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as there isn't sufficient safety data to support their use during this time.
Some of our skin and wellness treatments may still be suitable – certain facials are safe for pregnant and breastfeeding clients – while others, including most chemical peels, skin needling, and laser/IPL treatments, are generally not recommended due to increased skin sensitivity and pigmentation changes during this time.
Because every pregnancy and individual is different, we recommend a consultation with one of our clinicians so we can talk through your specific circumstances and point you toward what's appropriate for you right now.
A traditional sauna heats the air around you to create warmth. Infrared sauna uses light waves to gently warm the body from within, at a lower ambient temperature. Many people find infrared sauna more comfortable to spend time in, and the experience is generally described as a deep, penetrating warmth rather than an intense dry heat.
Contrast therapy is the practice of alternating between heat and cold — in our case, the infrared sauna followed by the cold plunge. Moving between the two creates a circulation response that many clients describe as invigorating and restorative. It's available as a combined session in our Private Wellness Room at Chapel Street.
Cold-water immersion is not recommended for everyone. If you have cardiovascular concerns, are pregnant, or have any relevant health conditions, please check with your GP before booking. If you're unsure, get in touch and we'll help you work out whether it's appropriate for you.
Naturopathy is an approach to health that looks at the whole person — nutrition, lifestyle, sleep, stress, and other contributing factors — rather than managing symptoms in isolation. At Plump, our naturopath Alida works with you to build a personalised plan based on your health history and goals. It's particularly well suited to those exploring gut health, hormonal patterns, skin from the inside, or general wellbeing.
Lymphatic drainage is a gentle, rhythmic massage technique designed to encourage the natural movement of lymph fluid through the body. The pressure is much lighter than a traditional massage — most clients find it deeply relaxing. It's well suited to those who feel heavy or puffy, are looking to support their general wellness, or want a nurturing treatment experience.
Yes – many clients at Plump integrate wellness and skin treatments as part of their overall approach. Naturopathy, for example, can complement skin treatments by supporting the internal factors that affect skin health. Our team can advise on what makes sense for your goals.

For skin and cosmetic treatments, comfortable clothing is ideal. Please come without makeup if possible, otherwise we can remove it for you. For the Private Wellness Room (infrared sauna and cold plunge), bring a swimsuit. Towels are provided.
